Julia Shalet continues to do fascinating work with young people and mobile phones. Helen Keegan, of Beep Marketing, is another name to add to the list of people doing exceptional things in mobile.
On Monday Julia takes a new teen panels to the stage at Heroes of the Mobile Screen conference at the BFI Southbank in London. Heroes of the Mobile Screen will also be distributing passes for Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona for up to 100 lucky delegates.
Heroes is a brainchild of Helen Keegan and a great way not just to spread the message about mobile movies but also to do good by people in disadvantaged areas of the world.
Heroes is asking delegates to donate old phones (with 2MP capacity or over) so they can be used by young, aspiring mobile movie makers trained by the World Film Collective.
Julia’s panel meanwhile will be asked to assess the merits (and live pitch) of five new mobile companies.
