So it’s now time for the US market to get its hands on Nokia’s latest flagship phone. New York was the city, the Marquee club was the venue and the N97 was the object of desire. Fans, bloggers, uebergeeks and the media alike streamed into the club for the chance to not only have the first close up look at the N97, but also to try to win one of the coveted devices!
For those not in the know, the N97 runs Symbian OS, has a large 3,5“, bright nHD (640 x 360 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio) TFT colour display with resistive touch screen. The QWERTY keyboard combined with touch UI and Home screen functionality offers an excellent user experience for internet and entertainment. Mobile broadband is accessible using WLAN or HSDPA (3.5G) which is useful when finding directions and locations with the integrated A-GPS and included maps.
For those Symbian fans in the NYC area that weren’t able to attend the event or didn’t get enough of the device, the conversations, the sheer love of mobile, why not join the folks at s60users.com in the Nokia Flagship Store this Saturday afternoon (June 27th).

A very nice smartphone which treats idle screen widgets as first-class citizens.
BTW,
I am waiting for “1M N97s sold” PR from Nokia.
Why make it soo expensive! The Samsung version with the same OS
is a better way to go, price wise! N97 is way to expensive for a phone use.
