When you get the mobile industry leaders together and add insightful questions from the media it stimulates some fantastic dialog. We captured on video the Symbian Foundation Open Forum at CTIA, in Las Vegas this week to allow everyone see the highly interactive conversation around the road ahead for Symbian Foundation post Day 1.

I’m VERY happy to see this video! I’m more enticed that both Texas Instruments and SonyEricsson had working prototypes to valid their presence; not just representation of an agreement or highlighting things on the drawing board.
Of note, Orange released the Nokia 7650 in the UK some 10yrs ago!
I’m hoping, on a more ’serious’ & corporate financial institutional view that RSA, CISCO, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Broadcomm,Avaya, etc, become more involved. Considering Nokia’s E-Series & Nokia for Business wish to be taken seriously as a challenger to RIM, they need to focus on solutions to two-stage logon authentication for remote mail solutions.
If I heard the video correctly, top two countries where membership applications are coming in are Finland and Japan on par, with China #3. That’s interesting.
